Entrepreneurship is a new arena ventured by most of the FELDA Palong Timur settlers. This opportunity is seized by Rahman Saidi who has ventured into it. He undertakes the production of salted duck eggs which he markets within the FELDA vicinity. The overwhelming demand from local villagers has boosted his confidence to continue with ducks breeding. Another villager, Mujihorno Badri, operates a small-scale machete making business. For the last 15 years, he has been making machetes of different sizes and designs according to the customer’s request besides for tapping knives.
