enerally, Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) are formed to help the government foster close relationship between community and government. The task of JKKK is to help government execute villagers’ development programs. JKKK of this FELDA settlement is headed by Abdul Hamid Talib, Muhamad Musni acts as the secretary and the treasurer is Nordin Wagino. JKKK is also assisted by a few bureaus such as Education Bureau, Economy Bureau, Plantation Bureau and Community Bureau.

JKKK is formed as a committee that can unite the villagers. Through JKKK, many information and government policies can be conveyed directly to the villagers or through specific programs. JKKK also plays the role of arranging small projects that are beneficial to the village community such as maintaining sewerage system, co operative efforts and others.

Specifically, JKKK Kampung FELDA Sri Ledang has done many philanthropic activities like providing place and dinner ceremony for Muar District Musabaqah Al-Quran on July 1998. Other than that, they also held donation drive for orphans, Hari Raya celebration ceremony and others.

Although JKKK has responsibilities on villagers’ welfare, the settlers’ land administration system is still under the responsibilities of Federal Land Development Agency (FELDA). There are co-operations between FELDA and JKKK to ensure a more effective two way communication between villagers and administrations.
