There are stories which tell the tale that Felda Tenggaroh got its name because the area was located in the middle of Mersing Town and also Kota Tinggi Town. The word “tengah-tengah” (middle) when pronounced by the Chinese sounds “tengah-tengah loh” which makes the area known as Tenggaroh.
