ducation does not only mean knowledge, but it is a necessity for everyone for a bright future and potentially tranquil life. Normally most children start their education in preschool, before setting their foot in primary, and subsequently secondary schools for a formal education. And those who are determined to gain a diploma or degree then pursue their studies in institutions of higher learning. Among the educational institution in Kampung Asam Kumbang are primary schools, i.e. Sekolah Rendah Penghulu Salleh, and Sekolah Rendah Sri Padang Sari, as well as a secondary school, Sekolah Menengah Dato’ Onn.

Besides, there is Batu Pahat MARA Junior Science College (MRSM), which is located in Kampung Separap. The MRSM is approximately 14 kilometres from Batu Pahat and 8 kilometres from Pekan Parit Sulong through Jalan Simpang Lima/Parit Sulong. The establishment of MRSM Batu Pahat is attributable to the initiative of Yang Berhormat Datuk Ruhanie Haji Ahmad who is the Parit Sulong Parliamentary Member. The ground-breaking ceremony and the placement of the MRSM construction monument stone was launched on October 5th 1999 by Yang Amat Berhormat, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
