he Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Gemereh are responsible in carrying out various activities in order to attain the government’s mission. Besides acting as the government’s development medium, JKKK is also responsible in developing the village area so that it is clean and in line with the nation’s development.

JKKK Kampung Gemereh is not excluded in generating variety of activities for its villagers. In fact, the JKKK of Kampung Gemereh has a few bureaus such as Arts Bureau, Women Bureau, Etiquettes and Human Development bureau, Economic Bureau and Education Bureau. Some of the activities that have been conducted are tele-matches in conjunction with Independence Day Celebrations. Hari Raya Meetings, Marhaban, Al-Quran recitation programme, Qurban and akikah are some of the yearly activities which are managed by Kampung Gemereh JKKK. JKKK is hoping that the programmes organised will receive a good response and support from the villagers thereby achieving the mission and objectives of these programmes. An array of activities is conducted in order to foster relationship between the villagers as well as making this village as the meeting point for every level of society.

One of the memorable events which happened in this village was when Tunku Ibrahim Ismail paid a visit to this village in conjunction with the road tour Kembara Mahkota Johor within the Johor area. His majesty had visited the village area and lots of exciting activities were held to celebrate his presence. Apart from that, his majesty had also visited the orphanage hostel which is located in Kampung Gemereh.
