Kampung Kuala Paya is a traditional village established since 1898. During the emergency period when the communists had threatened the nation’s security in 1953, many people from other areas moved here to open new settlements. Their migration had resulted in the enlargement of the Kampung Kuala Paya area where most of the residents are Malays. Kampung Kuala Paya has gradually evolved although it still maintains the peaceful surroundings of a traditional village.
