 | | Kampung Melayu Niyor is a village made up of remains of the country’s pre-independence day in 1957. Initially it was just the area filled with coconut trees or ‘nyior’ as it is locally called. Upon the Government’s approval a village was opened in the area and it was named Kampung Melayu Niyor after the many coconut trees in the area. After many years of development today Kampung Melayu Niyor is not left behind where facilities for the villagers of concerned, be it public facilities, basic facilities and planned housing area. The villagers are getting wiser by the day and are always on the lookout to upgrade their lifestyles. There are some who are trading while the others are farming. Some even succeeded in exporting their products globally. |
