“Agriculture is Business”. This government slogan has been the principle for a resident of Kampung Parit Haji Ariff to venture into agriculture. For a start he ventured into the cultivation of mushrooms. He performs all the work by himself, from gathering the firewood and filling up the poly bag after injecting it with mushroom seedlings. This diligent farmer has found that cultivating mushroom is a lucrative venture when performed whole heartedly. Even though the process of cultivating mushroom is a laborious task, he takes them in his stride and with his family’s support and encouragement, he does not give up easily.
