Sungai Nibong Darat Village is located in the Batu Pahat District, Johore Darul Takzim. This village was founded by Indonesians of Javanese descent who migrated to Malaya in the early 1800s. According to the elders of Kampung Sungai Nibong, the village got its name from the profusion of nibong palms around the newly established settlement.
