Kampung Sempeneh Cempaka is situated in the Larut and Matang District, sub-district of Batu Kurau. Its location at the base of Mount Kurau makes this village unique with the beautiful limestone caves on the background. This village is the final destination for those who wish to climb Mount Kurau. One will witness the amazingly beautiful stalactite and stalagmite which were formed by water drops over hundred of years ago. There are a few caves which were named after the shapes of the stalactite and stalagmite which were found in the caves. Among others are Tiger Cave, Bersanding Cave (bersanding is sitting ceremonially on a dais), Hermitage Cave and Bat Cave.
